Classroom benching for schools
Rugged, aesthetically pleasing, functional and reasonably priced. Custom made to fit any classroom, securely fixed to the floors and walls making it impossible to move under every day usage.
There are a variety of different finishes are available, the most popular being Grey and Beech. Standard worktops are 40 mm thick.
The depth of worktop is down to your requirements and will be governed by factors such as space availability, teaching purpose, use of TFTs etc. Boards are supplied to us at either 900 mm or 600 mm deep, and can be cut down to any required depth.
• Wall Benching – Installed around the perimeter of any classroom with the back edge sitting flush against a wall. Cut outs can be made around pipes, trunking etc, being done with a router to ensure the finest possible finish.
• Single Aisle Benching – Can be installed set off walls where there are too many architectural feature to cut round, or free standing in a laboratory style (popular in language rooms).
Single aisle benching will have panopray up-stand attached to the back edge onto which trunking can be installed for services. If required panopray can be run down to the floor to produce a full height modesty panel; favourable in laboratory layout.
• Double Aisle Benching – Installed as either a stand-alone island or as a peninsula running from a wall. This style of benching is a great way to maximise the number of workstations that can be comfortably fitted into an existing classroom.
• Music Room Benching – A customised version of any of the above benching options, where additional tiers are installed to allow for the storage and placement of monitors and musical keyboards.
